About Information Governance

The Information Governance Department within the Customer Programs and Services (CP&S) organization is a fast paced team responsible for the implementation of technical and business solutions.

Position Overview

This position will support the implementation of a new California law called the California Consumer Privacy Act (CaCPA). This new law expands the definition of personal information for all California Residents, thus, the law impacts SCE and EIX

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Supports a project manager with the development and implementation of technical and non-technical solutions

  • Develop business requirements, processes and supports training and Org Change Management activities

  • Will facilitate face-to-face meetings to document all impacted CS processes

  • Attend workshops and meetings that will require documentation of the meeting including action items, risks and issues

  • May be required to facilitate meetings on behalf of the Project Manager

  • Create and/or modify PowerPoint presentations for the department and management team

  • Review regulatory and tariff rules to accomplish tasks

  • Traveling will be required, but cities surrounding Rosemead, Irwindale, and Rancho Cucamonga


Minimum Qualifications

  • Three years of experience supporting low to medium size projects that have a cross-functional impacted

  • Three years of experience supporting low to medium size projects that require knowledge of SCE’s Customer Service Operations

  • Familiar with Assembly Bill 375, Senate Bill 1121 and the impact on Tariff Rule 25 (Customer Privacy)

  • Experience working with minimal direction to meet deadlines and milestones

  • Experience using Microsoft Office’s Visio and Powerpoint software

  • Experience with the development of business requirements, change control process and lead/support user acceptance testing OR Experience supporting Human Resources Training and Org Change Management activities

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience of and the implementation of technical projects

  • Experience of the application of the Customer Privacy law

  • Experience on how to apply Customer Privacy law to CS business Processes

  • Demonstrated experience working with the Information Technology organization

  • Knowledge of SCE’s Customer Service processes specifically areas which handle customer’s personal information

  • Knowledge of the CS Replatform Project especially the Customer Interactions and Programs and Products tracks

  • This is a full-time, project regular position for an estimated duration of 24 months. This position is eligible for company benefits and incentives during the duration of the assignment. This posting reflects two ABU2 roles, one focusing on HR Training the other on business requirements, change control process and user acceptance testing.
