About Transmission and Distribution
Southern California Edison’s (SCE's) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit (T & D) is responsible for planning, engineering, constructing, operating, and maintaining transmission and distribution facilities throughout the 50,000-square-mile territory. T&D is the steward of roughly $19 billion in assets that safely and reliably deliver electricity to 14 million residents via SCE’s 5 million customer accounts.
The Administrative Assistant will provide support to the Principal Manager and interact daily with management, staff, and external contacts.
Directs internal and external customer correspondences to appropriate person/department (e.g. billing, logistics, offline support, etc.) including handling confidential and sensitive telephone calls, files, documents, and reports.
Calendars meetings, schedules and coordinates meetings, conference calls, prepares agendas, and discussion materials.
Coordination of special events as needed.
Generates and process research report and various other reports as needed.
Files electronic and paper documents, including processing invoices, contracts, supply orders, purchase requests, ledgers, and expense reports.
Creates and maintains a safety conscious work environment by leading and influencing others to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
Services as a back up to other administrative support in the region as needed.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Four or more years of experience performing advanced administrative, secretarial, and clerical functions.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience processing purchase requests, contracts, and invoices.
Experience tracking, processing, and submitting supplies and/or repair/maintenance orders.
Experience compiling information and entering data into computer applications.
Ability to exercise discretion and good judgement in handling confidential and sensitive telephone calls, files, documents and reports.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel in order to create and edit reports, graphs, schedules, matrices and convert information from one format to another.
Experience managing management level calendars, including coordinating, scheduling, and planning meetings, conference calls, conferences and making travel arrangements.
Ability to interact with Executives and their respective Admin support, as well as, all levels of personnel, excellent oral and written communication skills, including accurate typing and spelling and thorough knowledge of grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation.
Ability to provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
Experience filing electronic and paper documents.
