Job Summary

Responsible for implementing Efficient Contracting Model strategies in the areas of demand aggregation, unitization of work, reduction of material codes etc. on Networks large framework agreements.

Responsible for the implementation and management of Avangrid Contracts Governance Model focused on allowing Avangrid Networks to obtain the quantity and quality of equipment and services agreed under framework agreements. Ensures, in coordination with end users, efficient execution of the negotiated contracts through monitorization and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the purpose of maximizing financial and operational performance and minimizing company risk.

Major Roles & Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the efficient execution of all the steps as part of the life cycle of a large framework agreement, tendering, contract negotiation, contract execution and closeout.

  • Overall responsible for ensuring that Framework Agreements are executed in line with the strategies and objectives set forth at the beginning of the contract and approved by Operating Committees for agreement budgets in excess of $1 billion. Works with Framework Agreement users on identifying and correcting deviations.

  • Monitors framework agreements and identifies when agreements are going to be either depleted or expired ahead of time. Works with stakeholders (Procurement, Global, Users, Vendors, etc) to establish renewal strategy and launches all necessary working groups.

  • Ensures all procurement processes and procedures are met during the framework renewal processes. Provides technical and project management support during the bid preparation and ITEO phases in close coordination with business SMEs. Responsible for ensuring framework agreement renewal milestones are completed on time and with adherence to all Avangrid procedures. Participates in contract negotiations and ensure that general needs of the business are properly reflected in the contract’s terms and conditions.

  • Set up procedures to capture operational data of the framework agreements from repositories and contract users and summarizes it on operational dashboard reports to help make strategy decisions. Performs quality control on selected purchases order to ensure that framework agreement funds are being used appropriately. Communicates results regularly with internal and external stakeholders and captures concerns from users or vendors to improve contract execution. Launches lessons learned efforts to socialize improvements to the contract execution.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience Required:

  • Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 5 - 7 years relevant experience preferred.

  • Associates Degree with a minimum of 7 - 10 years relevant experience required.

  • Supervisory experience preferred.


  • Exceptionally strong planning, coordinating and organizational skills.

  • Exceptional leadership skills, with ability to manage multiple assignments and conflict resolution.

  • Strong communication skills to articulate strategies effectively with all levels of the organization across Avangrid Networks.

  • Master the use of customized software, skilled in use of all Microsoft office products, skilled in the use of SAP and Project wise.

  • Efficiently manage staff at remote locations. Delegate workload among the team.
