Mandate: Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of plant cost information within the plant maintenance management system and corporate financial system, and provide analysis of the data to support informed business decisions by the management team. Ensure that the cost data associated with plant inventory and spare parts is accurate, and that parts are readily available.

Job Functions:

  • Participate as a member of the Riverton Management Team to: 1) assure plant energy supply to meet the Project demands; 2) profitably produce electrical energy with minimal environmental impact; and 3) maintain plant reliability.

  • Lead in the development and monitoring of plant O&M and Capital budgets. Track expenses to ensure accurate accounting of items so historical information and future projections are reliable. Ensure budget data is accurately reflected in submittals and that evaluation and ranking forms are completed.

  • Lead in assuring the cost data within the plant maintenance management system and corporate financial system accurately tracks plant costs to provide the management team with data which will result in informed business decisions.

  • Track expenditures prior to, during, and following outages so management has the best available information to make current and future decisions. Forecast outage expenditures.

  • Develop and maintain systems necessary to allow for the assignment of costs to capital or O&M based on the corporate financial system. Lead efforts in forecasting Capital and O&M expenditures and overall impact of proposed expenditures to budgets.

  • Assure cost data is consistent with applicable laws, regulations and accounting standards. Serves as a primary contact on accounting matters between the plant and others.

  • Coordinate, with others, maintaining an accurate purchasing, inventory and stores system which will provide the present value of inventory and spare parts and ensure their availability. Lead efforts in developing re-ordering and auto re-ordering levels.

Minimum Qualifications: BS Degree or equivalent and 5 years experience in utility or related plant accounting and inventory control activities, plus 2 years power plant accounting experience. Strong background in personal computer based systems.
