Job Summary

This role works closely with the Tax and IT departments to develop and implement tax technology solutions, provides technical consultation/support relevant to the Tax department’s tax software and ensures that tax technology solutions are aligned with business strategies. Responsibilities include:

Manage, administer and automate the hardware, software and associated tax technology maintained by the corporate Tax department, including: CorpTax, OneSource Workflow Manager and Dataflow, PowerPlan tax modules, Vertex, among others;

Monitor market evolution in technology and continually assess departmental business needs for automation, develop strategies for promoting and implementing tax technologies to enhance departmental efficiency;

Work closely with other tax technology team members and the functional tax groups to design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools or other automation solutions using applications such as Alteryx, Blue Prism, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Pega Systems, Celaton;

Manage multiple tax technology projects simultaneously, provide consultation and customer support to internal and external clients for tax technology-related issues as needed;

Develop and conduct training programs for department personnel;

Conduct testing, quality control and installation of tax-specific software and perform any upgrades/updates to existing tax-specific software on a regular basis;

Participate in industry organizations and specialized tax technology groups to develop best-practice business and technology processes and provide input on tax technology strategies.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

5 years of related experience.

Demonstrated knowledge in tax accounting principles;

Technical knowledge in multiple areas including systems design/integration/automation, complex spreadsheet development, large-scale data gathering/manipulation;Experience/knowledge of Alteryx or other ETL tools is preferred;

Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork and customer service skills;

Must have excellent organizational skills, proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision;

Proven ability in researching and understanding customer and technology business requirements, providing timely and accurate technical solutions;

Experience working closely with various divisions within IT to develop and implement technology solutions;

General understanding of accounting and corporate business principles.

Education Requirements

Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: BachelorDisciplines: Accounting, Tax, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics
