We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

Responsible for providing leadership to ensure the successful operation and management of a portfolio of renewable energy ventures. Collaborative with the site management team, partners, vendors and internal resources such as (legal, energy marketing, engineering, accounting, regulatory compliance, tax and environmental) to achieve maximum project profitability with safety, ethics and compliance in mind. Visit the assets frequently and provide direction/feedback directly to service providers such as the O&M provider. Supports multiple project sites and technologies. Primary duties include the following: FINANCIAL: Develop and monitor project Operating and Maintenance (O & M) budgets. For project financed sites, monitor key financial metrics including Debt Service Coverage Ratios (DSCR) and coordinate related cash injections, cash distributions and financial security requirements. Understand net income calculations of renewable energy assets and reconcile and explain variances to budget. Work with 3rd parties (off takers) to resolve billing and settlement issues. Assist Accounting when and where necessary. ENERGY MARKETING: Coordinate dialog and information sharing between the site and its marketing agent to aid in the understanding of how operational issues may impact project output and revenues. Support representation of Dominion's interests in ISO stakeholders groups to ensure renewable energy assets are fairly treated by the marketplace. Perform a variety of analysis and processing functions for renewable energy generation, including real time remote monitoring of site output via remote PI, SCADA systems, or other systems, reconciling site output with off takers, billing off takers, Generation Availability Data Systems (GADs) and management reporting, etc. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Work with local, state and federal groups to push the renewable agenda for Dominion relative to its renewal portfolio. Manage relationships with stakeholders, landowners and lessors. By their nature, many of these renewable projects are and will continue to be partnerships. Manage partnership relationships while always having Dominion's best interest in mind. ENVIRONMENTAL: Work with environmental groups, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Services (USFWS), local Department of Natural Resources (DNRs), etc. on emerging issues that could impact project profitability, including the ongoing concern by these organizations related to wind farm's impact on bird and bat population, and the impact of photo voltaic solar projects on land use and habitat loss. LEGAL: Participate in the negotiation, modification, and execution of contracts for the various projects. Many projects are partnerships, therefore, partnership agreements, marketing agreements, PPAs, leases, equipment warranties, O&M agreements, environmental permits, etc. will need to be managed in consultation with our partners. HEALTH, SAFETY, SECURITY, ENVIRONMENT (HSSE): Ensure HSSE program is in place and adhered to at facilities and aid site where necessary in modifying programs or being an advocate for their concerns at the partnership, management, O & M and personal level. OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE: -Monitor operational performance of fleet of assets on an ongoing basis. Develop and manage spare parts inventory. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

7 + years of directly related experience required.

Previous experience with generation station performance, data analysis and reporting required.

Prior experience in contract negotiation, partnerships, project financing and budget development.

Demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of renewable energy generation.

Knowledge of Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) and/or Independent System Operator (ISO) operating procedures.

Knowledge of and familiarity with Regulatory agencies including Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and North America Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC).

Skilled in management of contracted staff. -Skilled in the use of a personal computer and related software.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with a variety of people with various levels of understanding of renewable energy, to influence without authority.

Ability to direct and manage the work of others.

Ability to work effectively in a teamed environment and interact with internal and external staff.

Ability to ensure the efficient coordination of project work.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6 plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined (above / below).
