We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

This position will work in our Corporate Security and Intelligence - Threat Intelligence organization. There is one position available as an Intelligence Analyst or Senior Intelligence Analyst and this position will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Intelligence Analyst:

This role utilizes strong, critical thinking skills to identify and assess suspicious activity, intelligence, and security incidents at company facilities and assets. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Performs structured analysis of energy-related, event data, to determine threats, vulnerabilities, trends, and impacts to energy infrastructure, both cybersecurity and physical security.

  • Monitors security and crime trends at company locations, and throughout the energy industry.

  • Documents research and analysis in written reports.

  • Provides oral intelligence briefings on incidents and threats impacting energy infrastructure.

  • Manages multiple priorities and projects with consistent results.

  • Establishes processes, and identifies tools for efficient collection, analysis, and dissemination of threat intelligence.

  • Conducts open-source research, and assesses incoming threat streams, to develop accurate conclusions and appropriate recommendations for security response.

  • Monitors and shares threat alerts, warnings, and advisories with key internal and external stakeholders.Communicates regularly with other energy analysts, government fusion centers, law enforcement at local, state, and federal levels, and regulatory agencies, sharing information on physical threats, vulnerabilities, incidents, and potential protective measures.

Senior Intelligence Analyst:

This role utilizes strong, critical thinking skills to identify and assess suspicious activity, intelligence, and security incidents at company facilities and assets. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Performs structured analysis of energy-related, event data, to determine threats, vulnerabilities, trends, and impacts to energy infrastructure.

  • Monitors security and crime trends at company locations, and throughout the energy industry.

  • Documents research and analysis in written reports.

  • Provides oral intelligence briefings on incidents and threats impacting energy infrastructure.

  • Manages multiple priorities and projects with consistent results.

  • Makes independent decisions, and provides decision support for lower-level analysts.

  • Establishes processes, and identifies tools for efficient collection, analysis, and dissemination of threat intelligence.

  • Conducts open-source research, and assesses incoming threat stream, to develop accurate conclusions and appropriate recommendations for security responses.

  • Monitors and shares threat alerts, warnings, and advisories with key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Builds relationships and regularly communicates with other energy analysts, government fusion centers, law enforcement at local, state, and federal levels, and regulatory agencies, to share information about physical and cyber threats, vulnerabilities, incidents, and potential protective measures.

  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Minimum Requirements (Note: a Master's degree will count as one year of experience. A partial year of six months or more will be rounded to one year)

  • Intelligence Analyst : At least 3 years directly related experience in corporate security, intelligence, law enforcement, or regulatory agency or organization. (Directly-related energy sector or other critical infrastructure sector intelligence analysis experience preferred.)

  • Senior Intelligence Analyst: At least 5 years directly related experience in corporate security, intelligence, law enforcement, or regulatory agency or organization. (Directly-related energy sector or other critical infrastructure sector intelligence analysis experience preferred.)

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and experience dealing with security issues of an energy company and critical infrastructure protection.

  • Significant knowledge of research methodology and analytic techniques.

  • Demonstrated understanding of security concepts and sophisticated security technologies.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, to provide in-person intelligence briefings to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated, consistent, sound security leadership, decision-making, and critical thinking.

  • Ability to monitor, assess, and report on security incidents.

  • Ability to provide in-depth, security expertise.

  • Ability to conduct detailed threat analyses.

  • Ability to report to internal and external stakeholders, using appropriate degree of urgency.

  • Ability to manage the flow of sensitive, intelligence information.

  • Ability to understand assessment of security risks.

  • Ability to work independently, and to achieve results with little supervision.

  • Ability to coordinate processes.

  • Ability to provide leadership in a team environment.

  • Ability to maintain the utmost professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Ability to obtain government-issued security clearance, as required.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor

Preferred Disciplines: Intelligence, Intelligence Analysis, National or Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Homeland Security

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
