GENERAL SUMMARY
Provide overall direction and oversight for activities (duration, cost, scope) associated with the work management process. Responsible for overall implementation of all on-line work, including performance monitoring, problem resolution, and redirection of resources as necessary to meet goals. Work execution is a dominant factor in the ability of Energy Northwest to meet its principal goals and objectives. This critical job has a major impact on safety, cost, and generation.
Support the Columbia Generating Station Emergency Plan by performing drill and exercise, on call, training, and qualification activities when required.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Daily Work Coordination
Maintain knowledge of plant problems and configuration by interfacing with onsite operating personnel and plant management. Use this knowledge to establish priorities and specify work (maintenance activities, inspections, tests, and special plant evolutions) to be accomplished at the plant on a daily basis. Provide a status of upcoming and ongoing work to the plant department managers.
Coordinate activities of the Operations, Maintenance, Radiation Protection, Chemistry, Technical, and Planning/Scheduling/Outage departments to ensure that scheduled work is executed in a timely manner. Identify required actions and potential impediments to successful execution of plant work. Communicate with the appropriate organization to reduce barriers.
Provide detailed review of scheduled work activities to ensure that they can perform in compliance with Technical Specifications, prevent unplanned scrams, system isolations, and plant transients.
Monitor the performance of the site in executing work and identify the causes of failures to start or complete work in a timely manner. Communicate with various personnel in each department when problems are identified to resolve the immediate problems. Provide department managers with trend reports regarding repeated problems and recommend corrective actions.
Manage the Work Week teams to ensure proper planning and execution of scheduled work at Columbia Generating Station. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Work package preparation
• Parts procurement
• ALARA planning
• Clearance preparation
• Scheduling
• Work execution
Coordinate all planned power maneuvers with Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) and Operations/Fuel personnel.
Work Management
Overall responsibility for the work management process, including methodology, resources, and process tools.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Advance knowledge of BWR operations, programs and procedures as attained by completing an SRO program (Certified or Licensed) or a Management Certification class or an SRO instructor Certification.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering/science or related field and 8 years of experience in operating or maintaining a nuclear power plant;
OR Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering/science or related field and 10 years of experience in operating or maintaining a nuclear power plant.
OR A high school diploma/GED and 12 years of experience in operating or maintaining a nuclear power plant.

Pay Range
$157,548.00 - $236,322.00 Annual
Midpoint:
$196,935.00
Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.
Incentive Compensation
This role may be eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
