Energy Northwest Project Manager II/I - New Nuclear in Richland, Washington

This position will primarily support micro reactor development as well as other SMR projects.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Provide project management for the development of new nuclear generation. Create project development plans and schedules reflecting Energy Northwest governance policies and procedures. Develop project staffing needs, estimates, and funding plans including management of cost-tracking and invoicing in compliance with contracts. Coordinate and integrate with client project teams and schedules. Lead project teams made up of both internal and external members. Maintain a broad knowledge base of industry trends as related to assigned projects.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Project management for development for new nuclear generation, including creating development plans and schedules, understanding and following Energy Northwest governance policies and procedures; coordination and integration with client project teams to ensure effective support; hiring and managing of outside technical and other consultants.

Develops the client project support plans and budgets, including tracking cost versus budget and ensuring costs and invoicing are in compliance with client contract requirements. Assures proper progress and focus through frequent interface with the client, staff, and related parties and management.

Provide lead interface with enterprise risk management processes, including steering committees and risk review and oversight committees. Understand and maintain compliance with ERP procedures and develop and maintain necessary risk identification and mitigation documents.

Develop and manage contracts and interface with vendors. Develops project schedules commensurate with project complexity and size with the goal of being able to manage risk, accurately track projects, enforce accountability, and manage critical path and float.

Provide direction and oversight of administration and technical support assigned to projects.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Level II

Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, construction, project management, business, or related field and fourteen years of increasing responsibility using project management principles in a multifaceted and/or regulated industrial environment OR a high school diploma or GED and eighteen years of project management experience in a multi-faceted

and/or regulated industrial environment. An advanced degree in a related field of study or business may be accepted in lieu of two years of experience. Project Management certification is required.

Level I

Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, construction, project management, business, or related field and eight years of project management experience in a multifaceted and/or regulated industrial environment.

OR

Requires a high school diploma or GED and twelve years of project management experience in a multifaceted and/or regulated industrial environment.

Five years of the required experience may be in a position within the nuclear industry which includes directing project management activities and/or using project management principles.

Pay Range:

Level II Salary: $124,510 - $186,764

Midpoint: $155,637

Level I Salary: $108,279 - $162,419

Midpoint: $135,349

Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.

Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.

Incentive Compensation

This role is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
