General Summary
General janitorial and in plant maintenance. De-conning (equipment and plant). Delivery of equipment and materials. Regularly and customarily performs the duties at the nuclear station for maintenance of roads and grounds, cooling towers maintenance, performs nuclear housekeeping including packaging of radioactive waste, decontamination of equipment and buildings, Shielding & trash services.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Perform housekeeping duties such as sweeping, mopping, waxing and polishing floors.
Perform minor repairs on equipment and/or buildings.
May assist others under direction of a journeyman
Perform cooling tower sweeping
Set up of conference rooms
Clean BRE windows using Genie man-lift
Support furniture moves as needed
Perform bird patrol and ice patrol duties
Perform other tasks as required
Perform packaging of radioactive waste
Perform decontamination of equipment, tools and buildings using decon materials and equipment procedures
Perform janitorial duties such as housekeeping in restrooms, etc. Replenish supplies as needed. (soap, etc.)
NOTE: Including duties normally performed by Plant Bargaining Unit personnel within this position description (e.g., conference room set up, housekeeping and janitorial duties, window washing, furniture moves) is for a matter of efficiency and convenience and in no way signifies that the Nuclear Bargaining Unit has exclusive jurisdiction to perform those duties.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED. Normal assignment requires a valid Washington State driver’s license. Requires the ability to be respirator and heat stress qualified.
Salary Range
This is a bargaining unit position with a fixed hourly rate of $26.60. The hired candidate may progress to higher rates at prescribed intervals, to the current top rate of $37.24.

Other Compensation
Other available compensation includes our annual bonus program (“At-Risk Compensation” program), and various monetary recognition programs, when approved. Stipends are available to qualifying positions, after incumbent successfully completes required training.
