Position Specific Description
This position sits within the Power Generation Division which is responsible for all of NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity. This position will be based out of the Dodge Flat Solar Site located in Fernley, Nevada just outside Reno and primarily support Fish Spring Ranch Solar Site located approximately 1 hour North of Reno. Position is responsible for operation and maintenance for solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage, AC/DC inverters on multiple solar power plants to achieve safe, efficient and environmentally sound plant operations. Maintains all tools, shops, vehicles and all work locations in a safe and efficient condition. Provides inspection of watch, electrical, mechanical and electronic trouble shooting for a solar arrays and inverters. Inspection is performed daily for fluid system breaches, mechanical component breakage or misalignment and electrical component failures preventing inverters from producing grid power. Job will include other misc duties as assigned. Travel to other nearby sites will be required.
Employees in this entry-level role are responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar collection assemblies on multiple solar power plants to achieve safe, efficient, and environmentally sound plant operations. Successful candidates develop a working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components and equipment to include the use of digital multi-meters, meggers, and amp clamps.

Under direct supervision:
Maintains all tools, shops, vehicles, and work locations in a safe and efficient condition
Learns to provide inspection of watch, electrical, mechanical, and electronic troubleshooting for a solar field and pipeline
Supports the daily inspection for fluid system breaches, mechanical component breakage or misalignment, and electrical component failures preventing a collector or groups of collectors from tracking
Travel to other sites will be required
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
High School Grad / GED

Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
