Become a Vegetation Management Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll work in SCE’s Vegetation Management (VM) Department. This position supports the Event Expeditor Advisor responsible for constraint and access resolution activities throughout the entire SCE service territory. This position is responsible for interfacing with customers via email, phone calls, letters and voicemails. This position updates our Work Management System (WMS) when prescriptions change based upon feedback from SCE representatives, agreements with customers, and follow up assessments. This position is required to attend regular contractor meetings and internal SCE meetings with various stakeholders on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.As a Vegetation Management Specialist , your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone. A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Provide customer support, engagement and resolution of concerns and challenges, via SafeTrees inbox, Hazard Tree inbox, and via phone calls.

  • Implement solutions to meet business needs and customer demands.

  • Validate Data within Work Management System and update records with new information.

  • Import, create and send out Certified letters to customers to inform them of the necessary work to be completed.

  • Support no access assessments and resolutions.

  • Improve upon and recommend modifications to existing processes associated with customer refusals, no access issues, permitting requests with cities, counties, public agencies, etc.

  • Follow existing procedures associated with refusals, forced prunes, service disconnections, and overall constraint resolution.

  • Negotiate reasonable accommodations / appointments with customers to resolve constraints and coordinate with internal SCE stakeholders to mitigate risk with contractors.

Qualifications

The essentials

  • Three or more years of business operations experience in vegetation management or customer service resolution.

  • Proficient with MS Excel.

The preferred

  • Experience working with Fulcrum, Survey 123, SAP, Collector or Arbora (Salesforce).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience working with PowerPoint.

  • Effective at working in teams with numerous stakeholders (internal and external).

You should know

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
