Entergy’s Power Generation group operates a fleet of more than 30 owned, leased, or operated natural gas, coal, oil hydro and petroleum coke plants, with total engineering capacity of over 18,500 megawatts and is building or acquiring more than 3,000 megawatts of new natural gas generation to join its 30,000 megawatts of nuclear, natural gas, coal, oil, hydroelectric and solar facilities.


Focuses on technology and equipment processes. Oversees, manages, optimizes and fully implements fossil plant business processes including: Work Management, Routine Maintenance, Reliability, Coal Yard, NERC Compliance, multi-year tactical and strategic project identification and budgeting and Power Generation plant operational processes.


  • Ranks and prioritizes risks and budgets for assigned plant

  • Identifies and implements maintenance strategies and use of key alliance partners

  • Reports to plant manager to ensure accountability for budget and maintenance strategies for facility

  • Develops, manages, and tracks plant reliability, plant specific budgets, work management strategies/plans for long term plant improvement

  • Develops, implements, manages, and improves work/systems processes, i.e. coal yard operation, feeders, gearboxes, conveyors, electrical systems, and auxiliary equipment


Minimum education required of the position

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

Minimum experience required of the position

  • 3-4 years or equivalent outside industry experience or at least 5 years power plant experience for candidates with degrees. A Supt, Process level I position for 15 years experience or equivalent outside industry experience for candidates without degrees
