Enbridge Gas North Carolina is looking for a Supervisor - Gas Training & Development. As the supervisor you will provide direct supervision to instructors and training specialists responsible for providing training solutions for the Gas groups. This role is in charge of coordinating the analysis, craft, development, implementation, and evaluation of training for gas and technical services employees. The incumbent leads all aspects of training development and delivery activities including timelines, estimated development hours, and training implementation dates.
Work location for this role is Gastonia, NC or Raleigh, NC.
What You Will Do:
Coordinate with third parties to craft, plan, and deliver required training to achieve results.
Coordinate Operator Qualification program compliance and personnel.
Act as a project lead or project manager at times.
Evaluating and selecting technologies to improve technical training.
Facilitating 3rd party training opportunities.
Coordinating resources from within Technical Services to provide technical training.
Detailing training to ensure compliance.
Providing training and operator qualification reports and statistics to leadership.
Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years directly related experience; or
Associate’s Degree and 7+ years of directly related experience; or
High school diploma and 9+ years of directly related experience
Directly Related Experience includes : Supervisory experience, pipeline operations and maintenance (transmission or distribution), technical training, adult education, pipeline safety and compliance, construction and inspection, on-the-job trainer, project management/project lead or instructional design.
Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive.
Leadership and mentoring, project management/project lead, excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication, problem-solving, time management, strong computer skills.
Evaluate business needs and apply instructional design theory to develop training.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years supervisory experience in natural gas distribution/transmission pipeline operations and/or Technical Training.
Ability to read and interpret pipeline safety regulations.
Experience with integrity management implementation, pipeline or station design, operator qualification.
Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to):
Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 50 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.
