Enbridge Gas North Carolina has an opening in our Raleigh Regional Sales Department for a Gas Sales Major Account Manager II. The primary accountability for the position is ensuring the Company's growth strategy is met by increasing residential new construction market share across multiple gas markets.
This position is located at the Energy Center in Raleigh, North Carolina.
What You Will Do:
Manage the acquisition and retention of large regional and national Fortune 500 building companies by establishing and cultivating ongoing customer relationships at the Senior/Principal level
Co-marketing programs
Provides product education and training with key decision makers and influencers leveraging industry and business knowledge to grow demand
Navigates a complex sales cycle with multiple decision makers in order to gain insight into the factors considered in energy decisions
Developing a strategic plan with Fortune 500 builders in order to overcome barriers to utilization of natural gas in single- and multi-family new construction
Drives the expansion of Dominion Energy North Carolina’s natural gas system.
Who You Are:
2-5 years proven sales experience
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or university in a related discipline (such as Sales, Marketing, Business) is required.
A valid driver’s license with personal transportation for the performance of duties and a safe driving record are required.
Demonstrated ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a competent and professional manner.
Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
Ability to adapt to a changing business environment.
Ability to proactively improve and/or develop new business strategies.
Excellent sales skills (such as presentation, negotiation and closing skills) necessary to attain sales goals and objectives.
Proven ability to negotiate and close a complex sale.
Ability to influence others.
Ability to develop, maintain and leverage relationships with national builders, developers and major trade allies.
Public relations skills to appropriately represent the Company at a very high level while involved with community, civic, trade associations, and local political authorities,
Excellent business skills including effective planning, prioritizing, and cost analysis of financial risks, etc.
Ability to successfully implement sales and marketing plans,
Ability to resolve customer service issues effectively and make sound business decisions,
Ability to develop and present information quickly and effectively.
Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding goals while meeting increased levels of responsibility.
Strong research, analysis and sales knowledge and skills.
Ability to problem-solve, think analytically, and have critical thinking skills,
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with varied strengths while effectively handling and adjusting to a challenging schedule.
Ability to explain complex information to all levels of the organization in easy-to-understand terms.
Ability to coach, mentor, train, develop and influence others.
Ability to adhere to safe working and driving procedures.
Occasional heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. independently.
Preferred:
Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Represents company at major professional and trade association meetings both as a member and a featured speaker.
Complete and thorough understanding of the various components of the home building industry.
Comprehensive understanding of the demographics, economics, and growth opportunities within their assigned sales territory.
Bilingual (Spanish) candidates .
Other Working Conditions
Position will necessitate the performance of job duties outside of normal working hours. Some events may occur during weekend hours.
Position requires travel to customers' homes and businesses as well as offices within Dominion Energy.
Work is typically performed in an office environment, as well as, inside and outside customers' premises and businesses.
Position may encounter agitated/upset customers.
Hybrid working arrangement.
Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to):
Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 45 amount of pounds), grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 45 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.
Mental Requirements (Both field & office) include but are not limited to:
Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.
