Construction Foreman Summary

We’re looking for an experience Underground Utilities Construction Foreman to supervise our projects out on the construction site. The ideal candidate will have experience in Underground Utilities construction and will be able to ensure that our job site is safe and productive.

What You'll Do

Foreman Responsibilities

  • Excavating, rock hammering, cable plowing, and vault installation through and around existing utilities.

  • Installation of conduit installation through and along bridges

  • Installation of fiber optic Cable

  • Understanding of Horizontal Directional Drilling, (HDD) construction

  • Basic knowledge of and ability to perform preventative maintenance on all standard construction equipment. (Caterpillar, Doosan, Kobelco, Takeuchi, Ford, Chevy, etc.)

  • Ability to lead, direct, and manage construction crew(s) to facilitate construction in support of project timelines and deliverables.

  • Call locates and understanding of locate markings.

  • Capable of site surveying and identifying unmarked utilities, potential hazardous or difficult locations along the running as it pertains to construction planning.

  • Knowledge and understanding of OSHA Standard Construction Safety practices and maintain safe practices to protect pedestrians, crew, equipment, and work site.

  • Knowledge and understanding of DOT Standard Traffic Control (TC) Measures to ensure proper TC zone throughout the areas of construction.

  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and create redline drawings of completed construction.

  • Ability to lead project construction with minimal supervision.

What You'll Bring

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 3+ Years experience as a crew leader of five (5) or more operators and laborers.

  • 2+ Years various types of conduit installation through and along bridges.

  • 2+ Years basic understanding of Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) construction.

  • 2+ Years experience installing fiber optic cable.

  • 8+ Years experience in all phases of telecommunications construction.

  • Class A CDL preferred but not required.
