What The Role Is

The Clearway Tax group is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to support the organization’s financial statement and income tax compliance functions for Clearway Energy’s portfolio of energy infrastructure assets. This dynamic role within the tax function will expose the candidate to both tax equity partnerships as well as corporate income tax on both reporting and compliance fronts.

What You'll Be Doing

• Quarterly and Annual Income Tax accounting/reporting functions

• Assist in calculation of income tax footnotes and disclosures using ASC-740.

• Work with internal audit to provide required documentation for internal control testing purposes.

• Assist with One Source Tax Provision management for year-end close process.

• Prepare tax basis balance sheet and return to provision analyses.

• Compile State Apportionment data to calculate annual effective tax rate.

• Income tax compliance

• Gather and organize information to support the tax return preparation process of third-party providers.

• Review tax returns prepared by third-party providers.

• Assist with the preparation of state and federal tax returns for certain Clearway entities that will be prepared internally by Clearway.

• Assist in the calculation and tracking of federal and state tax payments, including estimates, extensions, and notices/invoices received.

• Assist in maintaining the tax calendar of internal and external filing deadlines.

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of federal, state, and local tax provision/compliance experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related major required.

• Proficiency in One Source Tax Provision.

• Knowledge of FAS 109 Tax Accounting/ASC-740 Tax Accounting.

• Tax compliance review experience of federal, state, and other jurisdictions and knowledge of tax preparation software.

• Driven self-starter with a passion for excellence.

• Ability to multi-task various projects effectively in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

What Would Be Nice

• Working knowledge of Alteryx or other data automation platform.

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, relevant and demonstrated experience, education, training and certifications, and other factors permitted by law. This role is eligible to earn an annual cash bonus, subject to personal and company performance goals.

Salary Range Across all U.S. Locations

$74,000—$90,000 USD
