WIN Waste Innovations Senior Data Engineer in Portsmouth, New Hampshire

At WIN Waste Innovations, we are advancing our data architecture stack. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will join a dynamic team tasked with integrating additional sources into our Data Warehouse, extend our Master Data Management offerings and support our Report Developers, Data Analysts and other individuals requiring curated data for analytics across the enterprise. Additionally, you will manage and optimize Azure data pipelines. The ideal candidate is passionate about harnessing the power of data to provide actionable insights, building robust, maintainable processes and act as a trusted advisor to IT teammates as well as our business partners.

What You'll Do...

Trace and document data consumption patterns

Contribute to the design, implementation and maintenance to resolve data related technical issues

Act as the trusted advisor to Report Developers and other consumers recommending data solutions

Support and maintain existing integrations and data transformations

Develop and maintain data ingestion and integration (ADF) processes with a focus on data quality and monitoring

Manage code versions in source control (Azure DevOps/ Github)

Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving design discussions

Support stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions

Work with stakeholders including report developers, business stakeholders, data analysts, and business users to design and build robust data processes

Ability to lead technical projects, communicating with users, stakeholders and leadership

Partner with enterprise teams, data analysts and architects to support the development of standards and solutions

Incorporate standards and best practices

Drive technical projects to completion from inception to production implementation

Who You Are...

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or other technical area

5 7 years of experience developing data integrations with a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts

Advanced working knowledge of relational database

Advanced SQL skills

Experience in MS Fabric or Data Bricks

Experience in Agile methodologies defining User Stories, Features and Epics

Experience mentoring cross-training and building consensus with report developers and other engineers

Hands-on experience with: Microsoft/Azure Stack - SSIS, SQL, Azure Data Factory, ADO, GitHub,

Strong computer science fundamentals: SDLC methodologies, CICD, programming languages, data structures

Working knowledge of Data Governance principles and master/reference data management

Experience interfacing with star schemas and data warehouse implementations
