The AVANGRID RENEWABLES Senior NCC Outage Coordinator reports directly to the Director, NCC Operations, and is primarily responsible for the planning and scheduling of work processes and outages that support the generation fleet, as well as providing backup to the Operations Manager when not available. The AVANGRID National Control Center (NCC) is responsible for the safe and economically effective operation of a nationwide fleet of approximately 5,700 MW of wind, 636 MW of gas fired, 50 MW of solar, 200 MW of hydro, and 55 MW of biomass generation. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Work closely with Corporate IT to document and follow-up on telecommunication issues between the control

Develop, issue, and train on new work processes and operating procedures. Business owner and subject matter expert for the Versify Outage Management System. Author and review switching orders. Responsible for all plant planned and forced outage procedures. Provide shift coverage as needed. Respond to urgent calls from the NCC on evenings and weekends when on call. Provide support for generation dispatcher issues and questions, as it relates to the operation of assets. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5 years’ experience in generation plant dispatch, operations or energy trading. (the company may consider

Better than average written and spoken communications skills. Ability to practice a high level of confidentiality. Consistent and regular attendance in the office. Ability work in a moderately demanding office environment with multiple distractions. Ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints. 10-20% travel required. Must be willing to obtain NERC System Operator and PJM System Operator Certifications.
