HR Innovation Team - Senior Process Improvement Specialist

We are looking for someone to join our HR team to drive and identify innovation trends and opportunities to enhance employee engagement the potential of the business. This will also include analyzing and measuring the effectiveness of existing HR programs and processes. As a seasoned professional you must bring curiosity, strong communication, technical and leadership skills, and knowledge of leading best practices while effectively partnering with others to develop strategic insights and proposals.

Our ideal candidate is self-motivated with a passion for thinking outside of the box, serving customers and creating outstanding employee experiences. You will interact and lead discussions regularly with a variety of stakeholders across HR and PGE, provide thought leadership and decision making, develop and present recommended approaches. You will also help design a clear governance structure for the HR Innovation team.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and Analysis

Assists in driving HR Innovation strategy and objectives that focus on the value of employee engagement. Analyzes business needs and identifies potential process improvement initiatives aligned to strategic objectives. Scopes potential initiatives to forecast the anticipated benefits and resource needs of each. Prioritizes projects and identifies resource requirements. Maintains repository and roadmap of continuous improvement activities.

Passionately acting as an advocate for innovation and challenging traditional thinking.

Ability to interpret business strategy and determine innovative solutions and ensure alignment.

Design and model solutions for HR innovation for all areas of the business. Perform as strategic partner to head HR innovation. Lead and direct cross-functional programs and projects of varied sizes and types concurrently.

Develop and foster strong relationships with internal at every level of the business. Support the innovation team by preparing supporting materials for key initiatives, reports, communications, and other ad-hoc needs as they arise. Ability to simplify complex messages.

Process/Continuous Improvement

Proactively manages complex, widely-scoped and/or cross-functional improvement initiatives. Ensures alignment to business unit and organizational strategic direction. Facilitates innovation work sessions with key stakeholders, including all levels of leadership. Develops governance framework to ensure sustainability of processes and initiative progress.


Researches and analyzes innovative best practices and makes recommendations for initiatives with the highest value. Develops and communicates project plans, reports and status updates. Drives organizational change and transformation. Serves as a subject matter expert to senior managers and others.

Ongoing Research and Learning

Conducts research and analysis of feedback and external data or leads collaborative efforts to identify employee engagement gaps; decides which gaps need to be addressed and recommends solutions; Provides knowledge articles to HR functional experts.



Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, technology or other related field or equivalent experience.


Typically eight or more years in process improvement, innovation, change management or related field.

Experience with change management strongly preferred

Certifications, Licenses and Training

PROSCI and Six Sigma certification preferred.

  • This position is based in Portland, OR and set to a Hybrid work model with 1-2 days on site.
