The Principal Asset Performance Analytics will support the Operations organization by validating and reporting the official energy generated, the annual budgeted production, and the operations performance.
In addition, the Principal Asset Performance Analytics will design, implement, and consolidate digital solutions through data models and analytics to improve the efficiency of the processes involved.
Complex data analytics will be executed to evaluate the operational performance to provide thorough Analytics, which will make better business decisions for the executive management.
Finally, the position will interface with several departments within the onshore organization, including Executive Management, Asset Management, Technical Services, Field Operations, Remote Operations, Commercial Operations, Land Management, Investment Office, Control, and external entities such as CAISO.
Improve the daily, weekly, and monthly operations reports by defining, implementing, and consolidating automatic digital solutions which provide accurate information to the executive management.
Improve the energy validation process by defining, implementing, and consolidating effective automatic digital solutions for providing accurate information to the executive management.
Improve the budgeted production process by defining, implementing, and consolidating digital solutions, which provide the executive management with the accuracy required for the annual budgeted production.
Provide advanced Analytics of the fleet’s performance and suggest any actions to improve the performance.
Provide internal or external generation Analytics and reports as required.
Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
5 + years of experience in equivalent positions.
Comprehensive knowledge of making presentations with Microsoft PowerPoint and ability to present analytics findings and recommendations in oral and written form to an executive-level audience.
Excellent understanding of programming SQL and knowledge of database fundamentals such as multidimensional and relational database design.
Ability to analyze large volumes of data obtained from different data sources and platforms.
Be experienced in tools and systems on Power Query, MDX, Power BI, and DAX to build automated reports and dashboards with the help of Power BI.
Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum or Kanban.
Excellent project management skills, organization, flexibility, and attention to detail.
Ability to efficiently manage multiple, concurrent, time-sensitive projects and priorities.
Strong attention to detail and accountability for results.
At short notice, act upon and deliver ad-hoc Analytics when required.
Provide high-quality information to the Operations Team about the underlying drivers of performance.
Experience cross-functionally with operations, procurement, financial, investment, and control.
Experience in OSIsoft products such as Coresight, DataLink, PI Asset Framework Analytics, PI ACE, PI Notifications, and Performance Equations.
Knowledge of coding languages like PYTHON or R and the ability to learn new languages and technologies.
Agile project management certificate (scrum, Kanban, etc.)
