General Purpose

Provide support in marketing and customer communications fields. Provide support to internal stakeholders and communications personnel and may assist in the development, management, monitoring and tracking of communications tactics and programs, such as customer bills inserts, brochures, newsletters, social media posts and email correspondence. Assist with researching, analyzing, developing and implementing process improvement measures in response to changing internal and external conditions. Assist with developing and maintaining operational and procedural documentation. Assist with serving as brand advocate.


  • Under general direction support the development of communication tactics that enhance the achievement of PacifiCorp's strategic objectives and enhance the corporate reputation.

  • Assist in the development, management and monitoring of customer marketing and communications plans for internal clients.

  • Assist with applying project management skills to facilitate the scheduling, tracking and documenting of regulatory customer communications.

  • Under general direction research and analyze information, determine context, and independently write, edit and produce print, social and digital customer communications.

  • Assist with facilitating internal and external events, teleconferences, conferences, surveys and recognition projects.

  • Liaise with other departments in the company.

  • Assist with facilitating informational meetings, logistics, scheduling, and materials preparations.

  • Assist with providing communications advice to internal client organizations.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, English, Public Relations or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • A minimum of three years related experience preferably in a customer service industry.

  • Communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult and resolve internal and external customer issues which may be critical, sensitive, or urgent in nature.

  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization including people with different styles and backgrounds; ability to work as a member of a team.

  • Knowledge of current marketing and communications technologies, tools, systems, and vendors to include: content management and publishing systems, such as Adobe Enterprise.

  • Social media proficiency to include writing, publishing and tracking posts onX, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.

  • Understanding of applicable Company policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Proficient with the use of personal computers including spreadsheet, word processing and presentation applications.
