You will be a part of a team that is helping customers reimagine their relationship with their energy company and using your expertise to find the data to help shape and communicate our future of clean energy solutions to our customers, community and beyond!

Your role will be to keep a pulse on coverage and conversation to help inform opportunities and strategies to improve effectiveness of our storytelling campaigns. Above all, you must be able to prioritize the mindset of our customers as we partner with them on their clean energy journeys. We are searching for the stellar candidate who will be connected to storytelling trends and best practices and is able to distill technical subjects down to impactful stories that drive awareness and action.

In this role, the right candidate will partner cross-functionally across the communications team and company.

What you’ll do as a Communications Consultant.

  • Research trends in energy industry media coverage and conversations and identify opportunities for PGE to better tell its story.

  • Daily monitoring of key industry, local and national media outlets. Proactively identify opportunities to engage with new outlets and reporters to maximize and extend impact.

  • Develop, tracks and report on communications success metrics and complete ad hoc reporting upon request, providing data and information to internal business partners.

Communications consultant– Intermediate Professional

You will have a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications, writing, marketing or similar field along with a minimum of two years progressively responsible experience in communications, marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Our preferred qualifications are working skills and intermediate skill levels in knowledge of earned and owned media platforms, strategy settings, analytical thinking, project management and creativity and innovation.

PGE supports hybrid flexible work arrangements; and will have a combination of in-the-office and working offsite, however, these arrangements may need to change due to business needs or changes in responsibility.
