In this job, you will work within the Process & Technology group of Transmission & Distribution’s (T&D) Continuous Improvement & Support team. This team is primarily responsible for policy/process standardization & ownership, as well as business support for the Distribution Scheduling & Execution Teams.
The Work Management Coordination Advisor will lead and/or participate in multiple critical projects and initiatives that will develop and support the long-term vision and strategic plan for the Distribution Organization. This position will engage with stakeholders throughout SCE to create a strong resource plan and provide scenario planning, Design Contractor mix strategies, and work management solutions to support corporate goals such as Capital Execution

Work with a team responsible for managing the centralization of IT capital project business impacts, information governance of Distribution processes, policies, and documentation.
Ensure formal consistency and adherence to cross-organizational and specific Distribution, Work Management, and IT capital-related projects and initiatives
Support questions and activities coming into the helpdesk to ensure appropriate resolution for Region, Scheduling, Operations, and field personnel.
Ensure user engagement and adherence by partnering with Work Management, IT, NextGen, and various stakeholders throughout Distribution supporting system and technology implementations to ensure all process changes, updates, and enhancements are developed, supported, communicated, and understood.
Integrate new processes, streamline workflow, develop accurate and timely reporting and tracking of projects and presentations, and realize expected benefits in Distribution through formal and effective project management and oversight, including strategy coordination with various organizations, implementation plans, OCM and mitigations, and aligning organizational expectations.
Build and strengthen working relationships with organizations across Distribution, Construction & Maintenance (DC&M), Central Design & Engineering (CD&E), Work Management, NextGen, IT, and others as needed
Maintaining a safety-conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
Qualifications
The essentials
- 7 years of experience leading projects/initiatives, process and procedure documentation and/or work management coordination efforts.
The preferred
Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field and broad training and experience in managing key projects
Technical knowledge and understanding of Distribution operations, business mechanics, policies, practices, and procedures
Experience as a technical editor/writer
PMP, PMI or related Project Management certification or Lean Six Sigma
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork, manage confidential information, drive change through influence, always works with integrity, and high level of self-awareness
Proficiency using MS Suite, teams and outlook

The position’s work mode is remote . Employee is able to work primarily at home or remote however, the employee may be expected to come to an SCE facility on occasion. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Hiring organizations can add further requirements related to specific jobs.
