A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!
Lead cross-functional teams on wildfire mitigation projects and initiatives to scope, analyze, drive and complete critical mitigation efforts in support of SCE’s Wildfire Mitigation Plan activities (e.g., Long Span Initiative, PSPS Thresholds Advancement, system deployments and readiness.)
Manage projects, proactively mitigating obstacles to ensure objectives are met on schedule and within budget.
Oversee the organizational change management and training elements of projects, ensuring stakeholders are trained, capable and prepared to adopt new processes and technology.
Brief and coordinate strategic discussions and report on project health with leadership (including executive leadership), preparing presentation materials and facilitating discussions.
Develop process, procedure and transition documentation to complete and hand-off project work for operational implementation and sustainment.
Demonstrate an understanding of the full extent of impacts that the Wildfire Mitigation Plan has on a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
The essentials
Ten or more years of Electric Utility business operations experience.
Three or more years of experience supporting Wildfire Mitigation or Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) work.
The preferred
Bachelor’s degree or higher level of education.
Project Management Certification.
Organizational Change Management Certification.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
You should know
This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
