The Vehicle Fleet Advisor [HYBRID] will work with Fleet Operations managers to improve performance, maintenance, and repairing Edison’s fleet of almost 7,000 vehicles which include bucket trucks, diggers, pickups and stringing equipment. Also, identify criteria and trends to increase performance, reliability and safety while decreasing costs.

  • Responsible for improving fleet maintenance by working collaboratively with management to identify trends and implement initiatives based on data.

  • Develop criteria for analyzing Work Order data to prevent expensive repairs and increase reliability.

  • Recommend courses of action and guide implementation of new programs

  • Direct initiatives to improve data completeness and consistency across the department.

  • Produce recommendations and reports in PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI

  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

The Essentials

  • Seven to Ten years experience with vehicle or equipment troubleshooting, diagnostics, and analysis.

  • Experience providing recommendations using data. (Evaluate data for trends, impose best criteria for evaluation, and present data as useful information).

  • Experience extracting data from SAP work orders and Notifications.

  • Experience leading projects or initiatives (plan, communicate, track progress, solve unforeseen problems, complete).

The Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or technical field.

  • Five years experience with data analysis in Excel or Power BI (should be able to query data using relevant criteria, analyze with pivot tables, and identify data trends).

  • Five years electric utility vehicle fleet diagnostics (or other similar equipment that involves trouble-code, engine, emission, and electrical system diagnostics).

  • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance work methods.

You should know

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
