Become a Sr. Advisor of Project Operations at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll support SCE’s Wildfire Mitigation efforts related to Aerial Inspections. The Aerial Inspection group is responsible for monitoring and tracking all SCE Structure Inspections done by drone or helicopter and then identifying and reporting to the districts the critical nature and repair or replacement work that needs to be executed. This role is critical and required to support all projects in Aerial. This person will work with the leadership team on various projects from inception to completion while developing actions plans to mitigate the impact to the program’s baseline scope, schedule, and budget. This position will provide direct project management support to the Principal Manager of Aerial Inspections supplying a single point of contact to update the Principal Manager on the progress of the work and providing insight/recommendations regarding the projects.   • Manage the development and implementation of special projects, assignments and action items as assigned by the Principal Manager, which have a major operational and financial impact, from inception to completion, including planning, directing and coordinating a variety of work activities, interacting and collaborating with T&D Department (ICs and leaders) to gain buy-in from relevant stakeholders and develop contingency plans to ensure effective partnering through identification and understanding program risks and issues and developing actions plans to mitigate the impact to program’s baseline scope, schedule and budget.

  • Provide substantial input on long-range business planning and process improvements. Identify and evaluate issues of major impact to the company and Aerial Inspections in determining strategic solutions.

  • Serve as a point of contact with internal/external stakeholders requiring engagement or support from the major internal and external stakeholders by integrating work across relevant areas, developing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, managing information and providing exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Understand, assess, and anticipate the internal/external strategic landscape of the end to end Aerial Inspection process and how internal and external factors may impact the future needs of the organization in the short term, as well as long term.

  • Recommend strategies to address both internal and external short/long term strategic needs and program improvements. Analyze complex technical problems and provide sound solutions.

  • Consult with senior management on abusiness issues, and act as a lead by coordinating the work of others, including gathering and analyzing information, identifying business partner needs, developing action plans and delivering recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives


The essentials

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business management, supply management, business administration or related field

  • Ten years of overall experience managing scope, schedule and budget and developing, executing, and tracking strategic projects.

The preferred

  • Master’s Degree in business management, supply management, business administration or related field

  • Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas to achieve a common business objective

  • Proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Team building skills with technical and non-technical staff
