In this job, you’ll be part of the Resource Planning and Performance Management team within Vegetation Management (VM). This group is responsible for managing and reporting on Vegetation Management metrics and data in support of regulatory compliance, financial standards and company policies. This person will work closely with multiple groups in Transmission & Distribution’s Org Unit to ensure they have the tools and data to accurately receive and record their work for various programs utilizing and processing data from multiple sources and databases including Survey 123, Fulcrum, SAP and PowerBI. A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Complete analysis and provide inputs for executive presentations.

  • Work with other VM team members for best practice sharing and developing consistent work methods.

  • Build tools to automate data collection.

  • Manage data mining and reporting activities from multiple work management systems (Ariba,S123,Fulcrum, SAP)

  • Provide support to Operations, Supply Management and Op Finance, which may include invoicing analysis including trends and forecasting, process flow mapping and generation of reports (e.g. invoicing by types and categories)

  • Lead internal/external audits involving Invoicing

  • Lead contractor engagement including weekly calls, training requirements, and resolution of discrepancies/disputes

  • Lead coordination of special projects including but not limited to OECM and system and process enhancements

  • Develop and maintain internal controls to align with pre-established contractual guidelines, program goals and process and procedures. Ensure compliance with invoicing guidelines

  • Support a team of 7+ Invoicing analysts and management with data sources, data interpretation, development of reporting tools and recommendations regarding vendor invoices

  • Manage monthly calls with VM team members and Partners to provide updates and address invoicing concerns/processes

  • Partner with peers and Op Finance to review accruals, financial data, and invoicing anomalies


The Essentials

  • Five years of experience in a Data Analytics position working with data sets and analytics tools.

  • Three years of experience using the advanced functions of Microsoft Excel such as V-Lookups, Index/Match, Pivot Tables, or Macros.

The Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.

  • Experience working with Business Intelligence Tools such as Power BI

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Work Mode: When a return-to-office date has been determined, this position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
