Become a Portfolio Management Project Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the implementation of Copperleaf Portfolio as the Portfolio Management tool used to optimize T&D’s capital portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing new processes and implementation of tools to enable the use of the Value Framework. This will involve working with project stakeholders, including project management, ASP asset strategy teams, and Distribution Engineering.

You will be joining the Integrating Work Planning team responsible for managing, administering, and supporting activities and processes related to the initiation of T&D capital work. The IWP team partners with strategy organizations to develop an optimized capital portfolio of work to ensure that we are doing the right work at the right time.

A day in the life – Ensure the right work is done at the right time!

  • Lead the development and execution of new processes designed to capture project information, including scope, asset details, and project lifecycles.

  • Develop and implement processes associated with the transition of projects from the sponsorship organizations into the project management organizations.

  • Leading the mapping of information from existing project databases to Copperleaf Portfolio

  • Develop processes to increase efficiency pushing project approval, tracking and closure

  • Leading cross functional teams from various other SCE business units and contractors

  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders, as well as management

Qualifications

The essentials

  • Seven years of project management experience.

  • Three years of experience in electric utility transmission and distribution infrastructure budgeting, project cost estimating, scheduling, and planning.

The preferred

  • Project Management Certificate.

  • Organization change management (OCM) experience and/or process improvement

  • Experience with the SCE’s capital project databases such as the ESP Suite of Tools and C55

  • Experience with the Distribution, Transmission and/or Substation organizations.

  • Proven change agent, innovation thinker, and facilitative leader

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Work Mode: When a return-to-office date has been determined, this position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
