In this job, you’ll work within the Performance Management & Analytics group of T&D’s Substation, Construction & Maintenance (SC&M) department. This team is primarily responsible for building performance metrics and visualizing field performance for SC&M’s Senior Leadership. The Performance Management & Analytics Advisor will lead the development of the performance management program that will provide insight into SC&M’s work execution strategy, as well around SC&M’s finance, work and resource deployment. A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Utilize a combination of business understanding, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and programming/modeling knowledge to monitor SC&M’s work planning and execution.

  • Work with key stakeholders to assess and develop appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and understand operational and financial performance trends.

  • Use a highly collaborative style to lead teams to develop and implement SC&M’s performance management program and dashboard.

  • Apply analytical expertise to identify, diagnose, describe, and predict outcomes for KPI’s and present findings/results to clients or senior leadership in a clear and structured manner and advise stakeholders in the development of corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with business partners to continually improve data sets for performance management.

  • Provide technical guidance in report/dashboard development and lead process improvement and tool enhancements.

  • Collaborate to establish program objectives, timelines, risks, milestones and deliverables.

  • Resolve issues and ensure task completion by establishing priorities and resolving conflicts with team members.

Qualifications

The essentials

  • Seven or more years of overall experience including leading and/or providing strategic advising for cross-functional programs/projects.

  • Three or more years of experience in Data Analysis and/or operational performance metrics

  • Two or more years of experience with visual reporting tools

The preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics or other relevant field of study

  • Project Manager Professional Certification- PMP

  • Experience with visualization tools like SAS VA, Power BI

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Experience presenting information to senior leadership

  • The primary work location for this position is Pomona PIV 3.

  • Position will require up to 25% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
