This job posting will be used to fill multiple leadership positions for the Technology Integration track:

  • Transmission & Distribution (T&D) - Lead technology workstream for Work Management. Partner with the NextGen System Integrator and Business Integration teams to redesign and optimize the end-to-end Work Management life-cycle processes spanning across Initiate/Plan/Schedule/Execute/Close (IPSEC) phases. Proactively facilitate conversations with corresponding IT Portfolio team to align and coordinate on initiatives across the Enterprise landscape.

  • Corporate Finance, Supply Chain, Time & Pay - Lead technology workstreams for Corporate portfolio (Finance, Controllers, Regulatory & Revenue accounting, Capital asset accounting, Treasury, Time & Pay and Procure-to-Pay). Partner with the NextGen System Integrator and Business Integration teams to redesign and optimize end-to-end processes. Proactively facilitate conversations with corresponding IT Portfolio teams to align and coordinate on initiatives across the Enterprise landscape.

  • Signavio - Lead enablement and operationalization of the Business Process Management platform driving process analysis, process-mapping, process intelligence and process analytic capabilities for the NextGen program. This team will be the catalyst for driving and supporting the process design work in Solution Analysis phase.

  • Architecture, Platform, Tools, Test & Deployment - Support the T&D and Corporate work tracks with development of the technology strategy and to-be architecture of the NextGen footprint. Lead the implementation of our Cloud Service Provider and cloud adoption model. Selection and enablement of tools, and establishment of a standardized test and deployment framework will also be a critical priority for this team.

You will manage all aspects of Solution Analysis, Development and Deployment efforts across the product development life cycle of the NextGen ERP program. You will lead and support technology project delivery professionals to deliver business solutions and outcomes. You will collaborate and integrate with the System Integrator, Business Integration team, Program Management Office (PMO), and product vendors. For quicker delivery of value to the business, you will use your agile experience (sprints, minimum viable products, Kanban boards, estimation using story points, control charts, burn down charts). You will engage operations to ensure the solution is operationally sustainable without adding significant O&M burden / technical debt.

  • Provide management oversight and direction to the Technical Integration teams for planning and delivery of initiatives, realization of value targets and product roadmap updates. Participate in program governance and serve as first level management to address issues/blockers and mitigate risks.

  • Use your program/project management experience to enable and support the team while employing waterfall and/or agile methodologies depending on project requirements, architecture, risks, and drivers.

  • Perform staffing activities to ensure project team has the right skills, capabilities and bandwidth utilization.

  • Work with the team to set well defined business outcomes, stay within schedule and budget, explain significant variances, and realize the business value targets.

  • Partner, collaborate with leaders of service groups on product capabilities, services, resources, sourcing strategies, Statement of Work (SOW), etc. required for the program.

Qualifications

The essentials

  • Five or more years managing or supervising an organization/unit or typically possesses five or more years project management experience, including managing budgets, defining scope of work and managing project schedules.

  • Five (5) or more years of professional work experience managing suppliers, service contracts, project metrics, and contracts

  • Five (5) or more years working in a technical leadership role in an ERP or complex enterprise application development and maintenance environment

  • One (1) or more years working with various agile techniques (i.e. Scrum, Kanban)

The preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or relevant technical field

  • Seven (7) or more years of experience working in Information Technology for an electric utility

  • Five (5) or more years of leading an organization (either matrixed or direct reports)

  • Five (5) or more years of IT portfolio and customer relationship management experience

  • Five (5) or more years of experience working with SAP ERP applications/modules, with strong familiarity on SAP implementation/delivery frameworks and product release/support models

  • Three (3) or more years working with various agile techniques (i.e. Scrum)

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
