Become a Distribution Process Management, Advisor for the Planning organization at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll be on a team of T&D Design professionals who provide technical design and process support to the various T&D Planning organizations.
Design Support Process Management (DSPM) supports Planning groups in the areas of project design and management (technical system knowledge, tariff interpretation, design tools usage and overall policy and process knowledge). Additional services provided through the DSPM team include support through the Design Support Help Desk to answer process and technical questions from Design and other stakeholder personnel.

Provides Planning-related informational support through development of design process, procedure, and policy documents.
Provide representation for Design personnel on a variety of departmental, technical, and policy teams and involvement in a variety of major projects, and initiatives at the corporate and operating unit level.
Provide guidance to cross-functional process development teams to address and research design and process-related issues, identify problems and gaps, provide recommendations/solutions, and develop and manage all supporting process and training documentation.
Liaison between the distribution planning groups and key SME/stakeholders groups (e.g. regulatory group, legal department, local governmental affairs, real properties, standards engineering, IT, etc.) regarding distribution planning design standards, processes and procedures.
Provide project management and strike team support to distribution design initiatives, leading SME teams, driving dialogue, promoting and helping develop cross-departmental solutions.
Qualifications
The essentials
- Seven or more years of combined experience in planning, electrical design, construction, CAD and/or drafting.
The preferred
Bachelor's degree.
Working knowledge of Distribution Design standards, Design and Pricing tools
Proficiency and experience with the application of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
Experience developing and presenting PowerPoint presentations to organizational management and/or internal work groups.
Demonstrated effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment, matrix reporting structure and maintain professionalism and a positive attitude while handling a heavy workload.
Ability to follow and support Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.

The position’s work mode is remote . Employee is able to work primarily at home or remote however, the employee may be expected to come to an SCE facility on occasion. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Hiring organizations can add further requirements related to specific jobs.
