Become a Data Visualization Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll be part of the Asset Strategy & Planning (ASP) organization and willwork with the operational performance manager in Data Visualization to develop and enhance new dashboards/visualizations that will provide tactical and operational data that will drive decision making. The position will manage a team of data visualization analysts that use coding to build and create datamarts which ultimately drive all dashboards. This manager will interact with business lines across T&D and SCE and engage with SCE leaders to create efficient and impactful tools that are used to analyze information in real time.As a Data Visualization Manager , your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone. A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Responsible for the development, implementation and enhancements of dashboards/visualizations created by the group.

  • Works with data visualization tools including all SAS (Enterprise Guide, Visual Analytics, etc.), Microsoft (e.g., PowerBi), and GIS (e.g., Esri).

  • Manages and prioritize assignments and workload of the team.

  • Establishes timelines, schedules and works with business line to developed tools that will support operational and tactical business needs.

  • Coaches, mentors and develops goals direct reports.

  • Continuously looks for ways to improve and/or enhance current visualizations either through new tools and new methods.


The essentials

  • Five or more years managing, supervising, or leading an organization, unit or team.

  • Analytical experience in building databases and or dashboards using one the following analytics tools: SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Visual Analytics, PowerBi, or Tableau.

The preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM related field, Computer Science, Business or other related field.

  • Experience developing and delivering technical presentations in a simplified manner to non-technical audiences as it relates to the development and building of datamarts and dashboards.

  • Experience using forecasting tools such as R or Python.

  • Five or more years in the field of business analytics.

  • Work Mode: When a return-to-office date has been determined, this position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
