In this job, you will be part of Vegetation Management Data Analytics group. This role will lead a centralized team of experts to develop and maintain an integrated approach for acquiring, analyzing, and validating data to ensure the accessibility, reliability, and timeliness of data. This person will utilize a combination of business knowledge, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and programming/modeling knowledge to support vegetation management programs. You will help with defining the vision and direction for new processes and procedures for reporting based on business needs, operational challenges, and compliance rulings.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Provide guidance, direction, and coaching to a team of 6-8 Sr. Specialists and 1 Advisor

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage and maintain VM data and provide recommendations and innovative solutions, as needed

  • Identify performance trends and develop risk mitigations when targets/goals are in jeopardy

  • Partner within VM to manage and analyze data changes/updates in various systems for processes, controls, and risks

  • Oversight of VM data requests (GRC, Audits, etc.)

  • Partner with Business Readiness to oversee data governance process and procedures to ensure accuracy of VM data

  • Collaborate with Business Readiness, IT, T&D Provisioning and Contractors to identify software and hardware requirements to maintain data integrity

  • Create/generate ad hoc reports, as requested

  • Maintain Data Warehouse to ensure accuracy of reports

  • Responsible for continuous improvements of business processes


The essentials

  • 5+ years managing a team engaged in analytical work

  • 2 + years of experience working with Excel and PowerPoint

The preferred

  • Deep analytical expertise and ability to draw strategic insights from data

  • 10+ years of overall work experience within the utilities sector

  • Experience working with Fulcrum, Survey 123, SAP, Collector or Arbora

You should know

  • This position’s work mode is *hybrid. * The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
