Become a Construction Support Principal Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll play a key role supporting Transmission and Distribution (T&D) operational objectives. You will lead a large staff of employees who support T&D construction teams by acquiring local agency permits for capital work orders, providing regional prefabrication support for district crews, inspecting contractor yards for compliance, testing and refurbishing distribution transformers, and providing repair service for tools used by crews. You will be responsible for the timely and safe execution of underground civil construction in support of planned and emergent distribution line construction including ensuring UG Civil contractors meet safety, financial and compliance performance expectations.

Lead a large workforce (represented and non-represented) covering the entire service territory.
Establish strategies and goals for Construction Support consistent with SCE and T&D objectives.
Lead department performance to meet year end goals and objectives.
Collaborate with other departments and OUs on corporate initiatives (such as NextGen, workIt, OE Catalyst, etc.) to successfully incorporate and deliver Construction Support requirements.
Work closely with peers and Directors and VPs across T&D, Supply Management, Finance and Audits.
Partner with HR, Labor and Union leaders to address employee needs and establish a healthy, safe and productive work environment.
Acquire and develop leadership talent for long term sustainment of operations and the work environment.
Qualifications
The essentials
- Seven or more years of experience managing or leading an organization, unit, or teams.
The preferred
Bachelors Degree or higher in Business, Economics or other related field.
Experience with T&D Planning, T&D Construction & Maintenance, Plant Accounting, or Material Management
Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills with experience presenting and interacting with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership and various partners.
Developing and implementing strategic business plans that have a large impact across organizations and prioritizing strategic initiatives.
Ensuring compliance with all safety, training and auditable guidelines, policies, practices, organization standards and governmental regulations.
You should know
This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.

The primary work location is Pomona, CA.
Position will require up to 40% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
Relocation does not apply to this position.
