Become a Compliance Operations Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you are responsible for planning, prioritizing, and tracking regulatory compliance programs and project goals. You will use data analytics and risk assessment frameworks to uncover business insights, identify control/process gaps, trends, issues, and risk areas then provide solutions and recommendations to management to reduce risks and improve awareness of compliance issues.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Manages the development, implementation, and evaluation of compliance projects and programs

  • Contributes to defining the direction for new compliance processes, standards, and operational plans

  • Collaborates to establish project objectives, timelines, risks, milestones, and deliverables

  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and coordinates activities of other team members

  • Makes independent decisions when recommending appropriate scope and strategies

Qualifications

The essentials

  • Seven (7) years of work experience in regulatory compliance and audits

The preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Technology or other related discipline.

  • Federal or State regulatory compliance entities and programs such as ISO, NERC/FERC, CPUC, and related experience

  • Industry best practices and standards in compliance, risk management and data governance

  • Develop or implement internal controls to ensure compliance

  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills and the ability to analyze complex regulatory and business problems and create innovative solutions

  • Ethics, negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage stress and engage in continuous learning effectively

  • Proficient with SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM) environment, SharePoint and eDMRM

You should know …

  • Workmode : Effective January 2022, this position’s work mode is Hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
