Southern California Edison’s (SCE's) Transmission and Distribution Organization (T&D) is responsible for planning, engineering, constructing, operating, and maintaining transmission and distribution facilities throughout the 50,000-square-mile territory. T&D is the steward of roughly $19 billion in assets that safely and reliably deliver electricity to 14 million residents via SCE’s 5 million customer accounts
The Communication Specialist will work with the manager of E&TS Project and Admin Support to maintain and design Portal and Sharepoint sites, support safety, facility, and operational communications to employees of PIV, and will also support delivery of E&TS executive communications.
SupportT&D Sharepoint Team Sites by consulting with T&D teams, designing teamsites, and training team site owners on the functions and maintenance of theirsite.
Supportthe T&D Portal by creating, designing and maintaining web pages, trainingcontent editors, providing usage data, and liaising with IT on access or systemissues.
Developa communications strategy, and manage PIV Communications though creation andpublication of communications relating to employee events, site safety, andother emergent issues using multimedia platforms such as web, email, video,print, and digital signage.
MaintainPIV Support web page, ensuring all documentation, job-aids, and policies areaccurate and current.
ProvideAV support to T&D executive events including both live events and onlinewebcast events.
Must have experience developing online content
Must have experience using contemporarycommunications and production techniques.
Must be able to design team space using 0365 MSSharepoint
Two years’ experience in web publishing.
5 or more years’ experience developingmultimedia communication materials
BachelorDegree in Graphic Arts, Journalism, English, Communications, Advertising, orrelated field or an equivalent combination of education, training, andexperience.
Generalknowledge of audio/visual equipment and operations.
Experienceadministering large Skype meetings.
