Become a Business Operations Analyst Sr. Specialist. This position is a Specialist position within T&D Inspections Performance Analytics and Data Intelligence (PADI) team. T&D Inspections manages a critical portfolio of Distribution and Transmission Inspection programs including Distribution 360 via drone, Transmission Aerial, Distribution Ground, Intrusive Pole Inspections, Annual Grid Patrol, and Distribution Infrared Scanning.This position will be responsible for the monthly accruals and processing of contractor invoices for all T&D Inspections programs totaling around $30M annually. You will work closely with our Financial Advisor to ensure accuracy in our financial forecasts and reporting.This position will also support analysis on various types of data including, but not limited to plan vs actuals, financial forecasting, SAP inspection data, InspectApp data, InspectForce data, and support our staff of Senior Specialists and Advisors as needed.Additional tasks will include facilitating meetings and recording minutes, managing action items for various workstreams, creating professional presentations in MS PowerPoint, querying data from multiple sources including SAP, maintaining data repositories, extracting data from dashboards and formatting based on user’s requirements, and developing and managing data within MS Excel. This position will also support various data requests including General Rate Case, fire investigations, Wildfire evidence files, claims, and others as needed

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Validate and reconcile vendor invoices totaling approximately $30M for multiple inspection programs and recommend for approval to management and rejection back to vendor.

  • Monthly preparation and year-to-date reconciliation of accruals to be submitted to Finance totaling approximately $30M.

  • Create and maintains records, logs, documents, files, or databases for use in monitoring, tracking, and trending program/project costs, resources, schedules, and status for management. Reviews files for completeness or accuracy. Reviews and update reports, documents or correspondence.

  • Prepare analysis and recommendations based on information from internal and external sources. Works with other PA&DI team and managers to organize and present multiple analyses in a unified structured format.

  • Prepare presentation materials based on input from multiple stakeholders and data sources with an understanding of the audience, objectives, and how to achieve objectives.


The essentials

  • Two or more years combined experience in supporting project or program execution or experience with data interfaces and analytics.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to take initiative and accountability for the accuracy of information and for achieving results.

  • Demonstrates integrity and sound business ethics.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficient user and demonstrated experience with software and tools including MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, SAS/SAS VA, SAP, and writing scripts for data queries.

The preferred

  • Bachelor Degree in Data Management, Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, or other applicable technical degree.

  • Courses and/or certifications of various software and tools including MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Azure, SAS/SAS VA, SAP, or writing scripts for data queries.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of SCE T&D, and SCE service territory.

  • Work Mode: When a return-to-office date has been determined, this position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
