About Transmission and Distribution
Southern California Edison’s (SCE's) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit (T & D) is responsible for planning, engineering, constructing, operating, and maintaining transmission and distribution facilities throughout the 50,000-square-mile territory. T&D is the steward of roughly $19 billion in assets that safely and reliably deliver electricity to 14 million residents via SCE’s 5 million customer accounts.
This position will be in the Field Accounting Organization (FAO), Technical Support Team, within Southern California Edison’s (SCE) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit (T&D). This position supports FAO Division Managers and Supervisors as well as the Principal Manager by providing data, evaluating data, and reporting findings. The reports will include information pertaining to the FAO core duties of crew timekeeping, material management, capital related order closing, and processing asset corrections. The position will also support ad hoc assignments stemming from corporate goals, develop reports to communicate priorities and goals, troubleshoot issues relating to the core duties.
Mining data from SAP in support of Capital Related Order Closing and Material Management for reporting on issues, errors, productivity, priority, and troubleshooting.
Development, maintenance and application of goals, measures, and trend analysis.
Working closely with various stakeholders and partner organizations for developing reports, trends, and monitoring progress towards goals.
Supporting special projects as project lead or support, as assigned.
Ad-hoc report writing, presentation development and general support as needed.
Maintaining a safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
Performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Three or more years of work experience in an Analyst or Analytics role.
Three or more years of experience using spreadsheet and presentation software tools to report out data trends and analysis.
Three or more years of experience with Microsoft Excel performing advanced functions such as VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, charts and graphing.
Two or more years of experience working with SAP.
Three or more years of experience in an analytical position with proficiency using MS Excel and SAP to mine and compile data, develop and generate complex reports, presentations, and analyses and organizing data within multiple assignments, tasks, and priorities.
Experience working with SAS or Visual Analytics (VA).
Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint.
Must have strong organization, time management and prioritization skills.
Must have strong communications skills, both oral and written.
Experience ensuring reports and projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and accountability for results.
Experience performing detailed analysis, querying, investigating and resolving problems, drawing conclusions from complex data and information, and presenting results to management and key stakeholders.
Ability to work as a team member in a demanding environment, while seeking/accepting coaching and feedback and pursuing continuous improvement.
