Become a Budget & Financial Performance - Financial Analysis, Senior Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. We are building a team to lead SCE’s NextGen Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) program focused on inspiring change through streamlining and modernizing our processes/systems across the ERP landscape. Our migration to the next generation of SAP’s ERP software and new digital solutions will transform business processes, build a connected workforce, integrate automation and artificial intelligence, and improve data accuracy and reliability.
NextGen ERP is a large, complex multi-year program designed to transform the way the electric utility operates. This critical strategic program leverages advanced technology innovations, such as machine learning and business process intelligence capabilities to enable an enterprise-wide future-focused business transformation. This transformation builds the foundation which will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions, and create cleaner air for everyone.
This position will be responsible for overseeing the NextGen ERP project budget and financial performance activities and will help establish, monitor, and report program financial results throughout the life of the project. The Budget & Financial Performance - Financial Analysis, Senior Advisor must communicate effectively across diverse levels within and outside the organization to help define financial and regulatory strategy and facilitate efficient decision making.

Manage the monthly budget and financial performance activities including current outlook and long-term NextGen ERP forecasts.
Oversee and develop reporting financial metric capabilities to help facilitate effective project management review and decision making.
Support business case activities including validation/refinement and establish benefit case process and framework to support value tracking/reporting.
Support strategic and regulatory activities including NextGen ERP filing and other regulatory procedures.
Participate in meetings and strategic discussions with Principal Managers and Director with occasional interaction with VP and SVP.
Prepare executive level presentations in support of management communications.
Communicating effectively in a matrix organization while ensuring timely delivery of inputs, validation of data, assumptions, and reporting.
Monitor and measure the effectiveness of monthly budget/outlook process and recommend continuous improvements opportunities to ensure we achieve our desired outcomes.
Qualifications
The essentials
- 10 or more years of experience in the field of business, corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, and/or strategy/project management.
The preferred
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
CPA/CFA
Advance Excel skills including complex financial analysis.
Advance presentation development skills supporting management review.
Experience performing full-cycle ad-hoc complex financial analysis, including identifying client needs, gathering relevant information from appropriate partners, and presenting information clearly and effectively to management.
Experience advising and recommending courses of action on process improvements, financial/operational plans, or business strategy.
Experience developing and engaging in discussions with a variety of audiences and levels across the Company, including effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Strong leadership, ethics, communication and influence skills to build consensus with stakeholders to develop and maintain partnerships with client organizations and senior leadership, as well as ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuously changing environment.
You should know
This position’s work mode is * hybrid* . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
