The Customer team at Duquesne Light is looking for a motivated individual to work in a team-based environment for collecting, analyzing, and reporting the Customer Departments’ key performance indicators. The successful candidate will utilize advanced tooling in PowerBI, Excel, and other technology stacks to perform tasks related to the job. Additional skills in Excel are required to build successful data processes for reporting. The successful candidate shall identify and collaborate with teammates to build automation, data (science) modeling, and process improvement pipelines that allow the business to view meaningful insights. Upon completing any insights, the individual must be able to present at a high level to convey the results and be able to present the data at a technical level. The individual must understand how to work within and lead a team to provide actionable results.
The successful candidate shall have advanced problem-solving skills to perform tasks related to the job. The individual shall have excellent skills relating to analytics.
Cost saving initiatives
Google Data Studio
Have an understanding of data structures related to SQL and Power BI.
Develop ad-hoc reporting and performance-improvement analyses related to the Customer Department.
Lead in the process of compiling, proofing, and publishing regular (e.g. monthly), comprehensive reports of the Customer Department’s performance results utilizing the Microsoft Office suite of applications at a quality-level appropriate for consumption by DLC’s executive officers and Board of Directors.
Required: Accredited Bachelor degree in accounting, business administration, computer science, engineering, finance, information technology, or 5+ years of experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, SQL, Power BI, and Excel.
Excellent analytical, project management, problem solving, and modeling skills.
Desire to learn, grow, or expand skillsets in the business.
Power BI proficiency required.
Great presentation (PowerPoint) skills at both a high level and technical level.
Ability to perform various analyses related to cost saving initiatives and risk awareness.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and work in a fast-pace and changing environment.
Must be highly regarded for integrity, collaboration, flexibility, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
An entrepreneurial spirit with keen attention to detail.
Familiarity with Microsoft products.
