Technology Services IT Internship Overall Purpose :
Information Technology interns are sought for full-time (40 hours/week) positions for the Summer 2022 program. We are filling multiple positions, and the successful candidate may be considered for several areas of IT.
The Technical Services team supports departments across Duquesne Light. We uphold the life cycle of an employee’s workstation setup, data and voice networks, servers, storage and databases within Corporate and CIP environments.
To ensure necessary support and monitoring is in place, Technical Services also manages the IT Operations Center and IT Service Desk 24/7, 365 days a year.
IT Service Management – Work inside Enterprise Service Center as well as with ITSM team to take Service Desk calls, work daylight shift in IT Operations while helping progress our ITSM Systems Configuration Management Database accuracy and completeness. This position will be remote or at our Woods Run 3 Complex.
P C Support - Work with PC Support staff to refresh pcs, troubleshoot day to day issues, manage hardware and printers, and learn the day-to-day operations in PC Support. This position will be located at our Woods Run 3 Complex.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a BS or MS program in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Management Information Systems or IT related field. Candidates must have completed their sophomore year of studies and have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
