Overall Purpose:

  • Supports the Community Relations team in charitable giving, volunteerism and sustainability strategy initiatives.

  • Solicits and coordinates volunteer and employee engagement opportunities.

  • Reviews and assists in processing charitable contributions.

  • Communicates with community partners to promote charitable giving and community initiatives.

  • Collaborates with community partners on providing meaningful volunteer opportunities for employees.

  • Supports employees in creating volunteer events and tracking volunteer time.

  • Assists with preparing materials and resources for employee giving campaign.

  • Organizes and tracks grant documentation.

  • Attends both internal and external meetings as well as volunteer and community events, as appropriate.

Education/Experience:

Applicants should be interested in pursuing a career in corporate social responsibility, philanthropy, employee engagement, sustainability and/or community development. Candidates must have completed their sophomore year of studies.

Skills/Abilities:

Experience managing programs and/or projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as organization and time management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Ability to prioritize and work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment. Must have a passion for uplifting and supporting community needs.

Physical requirements:

Work will be conducted in a hybrid environment with some time working remotely, and some time required to be in-office/on-site. Candidates must be within close proximity to Pittsburgh.

Other:

Applicants must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and social media screen.
