Overall Purpose:

Finance intern is sought for full-time (40 hours/week) position for the Summer 2020 Internship program. The successful candidate may be considered for several areas of the Finance department to include mainly accounting and internal and external financial reporting. Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, assistance in the preparation of journal entries during the month-end close process, account reconciliations, monthly and quarterly internal and external reporting deliverables, regulatory filings and technical accounting research.

Education/Experience:

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a BS or MS program in Accounting or Finance. Candidates must have completed their sophomore year of studies.

Skills/Abilities:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.

Physical requirements:

Work will be conducted in a hybrid environment with some time working remotely, and some time required to be in-office/on-site. Candidates must be within close proximity to Pittsburgh.

Other:

Applicants must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and social media screen.
