The Financial Analyst II (Treasury) is a professional with knowledge of Treasury and Cash Management principles, practices, concepts, and theories. The incumbent is responsible for performing daily Treasury activities, such as cash management, bank reconciliation, check printing, check deposits, and audit inquiries. The incumbent will assist with a range of tasks and projects as requested, including liquidity, debt and other ad-hoc financial analyses. The incumbent contributes to the continual improvement of Treasury processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set the cash position for various companies on a rotating basis once or twice weekly and perform approvals for person setting the cash position on other days on a rotating basis; review bank activity to ensure accurate payment processing

  • Perform daily reconciliations of incoming and outgoing clearing accounts in SAP

  • Perform monthly General Ledger account reconciliations

  • Create a remote check deposit weekly for miscellaneous non-customer check payments received

  • Create monthly journals for outstanding check balances and fees debited from bank accounts, and record banking activity for bank accounts not on Electronic Bank Statement (EBS)

  • Enter daily rate resets for investment instruments in SAP

  • Support the development of operational policies and procedures; ensure all aspects of daily cash operations are handled with accuracy and that policies and procedures are followed; recommend updates as appropriate

  • Participate in the administration of bank setup, cash forecasting, and investment management from various business units and corporate departments; respond to audit inquiries as required and communicate with banks to clarify adjustments or items on bank statements to reconcile activity

  • Print Customer Refund checks and Accounts Payable checks for various companies

  • Assist with process automation and design by identifying areas to reduce routine manual tasks; participate in the integration of current systems (e.g., SAP) and analytical techniques to enhance/streamline current operations and improve efficiency

  • Contribute innovative ideas to develop and drive continuous improvement of Treasury service delivery and processes

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, Skills

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting or related field

  • Ability to report to the Pineville General Office Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays every week

  • 3+ years of related experience in Treasury Management or similar functions

  • Experience with financial systems/SAP preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft tools and applications required

  • Knowledge of GAAP, Internal Control processes

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and project management skills

  • Strong interpersonal, communications, writing, speaking, listening and storytelling skills

  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job

  • Proficient at functioning effectively within a team environment, presenting ideas and opinions in a professional and collegial manner

  • Strong customer focus and employee experience mindset

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation preferred
