Summary Statement:
The IT Functional Solutions Architect is a visionary person who will be responsible for performing “deep dives” into SAP processes and determining the optimal process configuration taking into account SAP functionality as well as business needs. They will work with both the business and IT departments in delivering those optimized processes. The position will be guiding Cleco from our infancy in SAP into our full utilization of SAP for the next decade and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for contributing to the development of the long term functional solution strategy.
Active in the design of overall business processes which enable effective and efficient business outcomes.
Supports agile projects through application of defined sub function approaches.
Utilizes standards, procedures, and processes, providing recommendations for process improvements, as necessary.
Identifies and manages projects and relationships which cross multiple business functional areas.
Provide communication to their manager to provide status updates on project activities, and identify risks in delivery or resourcing needs.
Meets with IT team to understand short and long term vision.
Meets with business partners to understand potential missing or painful gaps in business processes.
Prioritization of those gaps to value for the business.
Works with the IT team and the business partners to plan and execute improved process efficiencies.
Works with management (both IT and Business) to provide updates on progress toward selected improvements and increased efficiencies.

Qualifications / Progression
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
3+ years of related experience
SAP experience required

Cleco Cajun is an unregulated utility company that owns 14 generating units with a rated capacity of 3,379 MWs and wholesale contracts serving nine Louisiana cooperatives, three wholesale municipal customers and one electric utility.
