Responsible for establishing, monitoring, reporting and ensuring extraction operations are in full compliance with D.O.T., OSHA Process Safety Management, Environmental and other applicable codes. Functions as a centralized repository to ensure that all equipment/systems impacted by regulatory requirements or code changes are set up in the company's monitoring systems. Generates monthly inspection requirements and documentation reporting instruments, works closely with Operations to ensure inspections are conducted in a timely manner. Manages and maintains all required documentation. Audits field practices, conducts compliance inspection on operational and construction activities. Reviews documentation reporting instruments for accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements. Compiles management reports, analyzes and identifies non-compliance issues. Provides documentation training as needed to assist operational groups. Recommends and implements technology, standards and procedures for compliance monitoring and record keeping. Coordinates testing and inspection of materials. Coordinates safety audits with outside agencies. Acts as liaison with fire, police and other public officials, insurance carrier, and company monitoring systems (IMS, CMS). Has additional responsibility for maintaining the plant's quality control assurance program for lab methods. Ensures calibration of equipment and verification of documentation. Provides work direction to assigned testers, performs sampling, monitoring, analysis and reporting / recording of water, fuel, chemical or environmental chemistry samples. Ensure quality and compliance of laboratory and sampling procedures, and recommend operating guidelines to improve production quality. Perform studies and prepare reports / recommendations for design or process change.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
3 years combined related experience in analyzing data, compliance monitoring, inspection, and/or record keeping
Valid drivers' license
DOT and OSHA knowledge
Strong planning and organizing skills
Knowledge of monitoring/scheduling systems such as IMS, CMS, SAP, etc.
Natural gas industry experience
Strong technical computer skills
Working knowledge of company operations, policies and procedures, and of OSHA Process Safety Management.
Demonstrated knowledge of analytical chemistry and laboratory concepts and techniques.
Ability to calibrate laboratory equipment and verify test results.
Ability to work independently, plan and organize, ability to lead others.
Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, draw conclusions and make recommendations for improvement.
Ability to communicate effectively and develop rapport with internal and external customers.
Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor
