You may have also acquired the following skills:

  • Co op experience with a Canadian Utility and/or equivalent CANDU technology experience is an asset

  • Must be eligible for Nuclear Site Access Security Clearance at Canadian & US based utilities prior to start of work

  • Opportunity to perform some duties working remote during times field presence is not required

  • Good communication skills including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data and able to work effectively with all levels of staff and management.

  • Possesses specialized knowledge in manufacturing methods, field execution or process systems and good problem identification and resolution skills

  • Ability to perform well in a field environment

  • Experience in manufacturing and constructability methods and able to support constructability review meetings

  • Experienced in generating and checking detailed design and fabrication drawings.

You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Mechanical Technologist in Pickering, Ontario, you will be part of the proven team in the Chemistry and Special Technologies Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include:

  • Provides technical support in analyzing and evaluating routine plant or field systems, equipment and programs.

  • Recommends procedures and methods, and prepares technical reports and documentation.

  • Provides resolution to routine technical or engineering-related problems.

  • Performs technical evaluations of events to determine root cause and recommends corrective action.

  • Evaluates, selects and applies technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making adaptations and modifications.

  • Plans and conducts routine technical or engineering-related assignments.

  • Operates specialty tooling and manipulators, ensures tooling readiness between deployments, implements tooling improvements
