Summary

Responsible for implementing, operating, and overseeing a data analytics and intelligence program that provides and informs APS (non-Palo Verde) HR, as its customer, the necessary information that allows them to design workforce planning for the business. This position translates human capital and business intelligence data and consults with HR Business Partners and other HR leaders on key critical workforce planning issues, efforts, and decision support. In addition, this position will provide ad-hoc data to key APS (non-Palo Verde) business areas and HR to support program design or problem-solving efforts.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, human resource, information systems or related discipline required and six (6) years related experience in data analytics, data modeling, business analysis and/or experience in workforce analytics/planning. Experience in the design and implementation of workforce data and analytics programs and in key functions/roles such as strategic planning, metrics reporting and analysis, consulting, HR business partner, talent acquisition, talent management, diversity and inclusion programs, or workforce planning. Ability to think strategically, be a systems thinker, have strong analytics skills, experience in storytelling, and have interpersonal savvy with exceptionally strong collaboration and communication skills. Demonstrated experience working with HR Industry Leading analytics tools to translate data into actionable recommendations and targeted workforce plans. MBA or MS degree preferred.

Major Accountabilities

1) Develops, implements, oversees, and executes a workforce data analytics program.

2) Exercise advanced knowledge to extract critical information and business value from data spread across multiple databases and data formats throughout the business.

3) Builds strong internal relationships with HR partners and provides data consulting services to these HR partners as an expert consultant in business and HR.

4) Understands the challenges and talent concerns of the business.

5) Works closely with Supply Chain, Finance, and other business areas to ensure holistic workforce intelligence.

6) Leads projects and initiatives to develop data and intelligence required to support strong workforce planning and development.

7) Participate in HR analytics projects to investigate potential measures, predictive outcomes, forecasting capabilities, correlations, and causality connections for critical business issues.

8) Partner with industry leading Workforce Planning vendor to apply business objectives to Human Capital Planning.

Flex Role:

This position is not required to be performed at a specific APS facility as long as adequate technology and a solid ergonomic set up are present. Pending agreement with leadership, employees hired into this role will be able to choose where they prefer to perform their work. Employees will have two options to choose from:

  • APS office based: The employee prefers to work most of the time from an APS facility.

  • Home based: The employee prefers to work most of the time from his/her home.

*Employees in Flex roles are required to reside in Arizona (or NM for Four Corners-based employees). Role types are subject to change based on business need.
