Summary

The Inventory Management Associate collaborates with Supply Chain Management and Business Unit Partners to manage and execute inventory activities in support of inventory optimization. This position supports, thru analytics, Enterprise efforts to improve inventory levels, optimize storage space, improve cash flows, and increase material availability across the network.

Minimum Requirements

  • A four-year Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or other job-related discipline from an accredited college or university.

  • In lieu of bachelors degree, four (4) years of Supply Chain or other job-related experience.

    Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications:

  • Good analytical, verbal and written communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in using software tools such as the Microsoft Office Suite.

Major Accountabilities

1) Serves as business unit contact to ensure continuous support to meet inventory needs across the organization.

2) Monitors service level parameters and ensures appropriate inventory levels are maintained.

3) Ensures scheduling of required obsolete and slow-moving inventory actions while executing the changes to inventory levels.

4) Collaborates with Procurement and Warehouse Supervisors to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, as necessary.

5) Addresses Business Unit challenges by utilizing supply chain forums and understanding supplier markets. Utilizes technology such as Power BI, SharePoint and forecasting tools to execute and/or support data-driven decisions.

6) Manages multiple internal stakeholders by recommending inventory safety stocks for their projects/programs overall progression.

7) Reviews and approves inventory service level requests up to $100k to ensure business needs are met.

8) Maintains records of inventory materials to ensure product is on hand when a need is identified while supporting inventory optimization.
